North Lake



North Lake,a reservoir,lies between Chongming Island and Xinglongsha Island.When tide comes up,many herons,waterfowls,waders,gulls and spoonbills roost here.Annually,the largest flock of Saunders's Gull in Shanghai recorded here in autumn,with a small flock of Black-faced Spoonbill.Reed Parrotbill rich.Loons occasionally recorded.
Status:Not conserved. Best season:Spring,autumn,winter. Transport:2.5h drive to North Lake.
